Six hundred Methodist Metropolitan doctors, nurses, and staff enjoyed over 1,200 breakfast tacos on Friday, February 25, at Cleary Zimmermann’s second annual Cowboy Breakfast. To honor the continued hard work and sacrifice of the healthcare workers, Cleary Zimmermann staff members awoke before dawn to prepare and serve free breakfast tacos for the hospital’s 6:30 a.m. shift change.
The inaugural Cowboy Breakfast for Methodist Hospital Texsan in 2021 was such a success that we decided to bring the breakfast to another Methodist campus and make the Cowboy Breakfast a yearly service opportunity for our staff! The 2021 event was the brainchild of Anthony Medina, Director of Business Development, and served as the kick-off for Cleary Zimmermann’s “15 Years Hands-On, 1500 Hours Hands-On” anniversary celebration.
To serve the larger staff of front-line workers at Methodist Metropolitan, we doubled our taco production and served over 1,200 breakfast tacos – cracking 1,000 eggs and cooking 210 lbs. of bacon in the process! The tacos were prepared in a custom 20ft BBQ pit that our firm’s founders, Wade Cleary, and Danny Zimmermann, had commissioned for community events such as the Cowboy Breakfast.
Throughout the morning, over 20+ CZ staff volunteered their time serving at various taco prepping stations.
As we look towards our next opportunity to support healthcare heroes, our firm is excited to bring our team together again to serve the community that inspires us every day.
“Service to our community is central to the DNA of our company. It’s less about the buildings and the structures we have produced, it’s more about the lives we’ve touched and the relationships that we have made. This approach has helped us serve our clients better and anticipate their needs” – Wade Cleary said.
