The opening of the UT Health RGV Cancer & Surgery Center marks a major step forward in bringing advanced, accessible healthcare to families across the Rio Grande Valley. The state‑of‑the‑art facility was designed to eliminate long‑distance travel for specialized treatment, offering services such as cancer care, outpatient surgery, and advanced imaging all under one roof.
For Moose Engineers, who has a mentor/protégé relationship with Cleary Zimmermann Engineers, this project carries deeply personal meaning. Electrical engineer Lorenzo Sanchez—a Valley native and member of the Moose Engineers team—played a key role in the building’s electrical design services. Today, his mother receives treatment in that same facility—close to home and close to family.
