As part of Texas A&M University College Station’s campaign to enhance its athletic facilities, the university is building a brand new three-level Olympic standard track and field stadium. The stadium will have adequate space for not only track, but also two field events to happen simultaneously. Cleary Zimmermann Engineers’ IT/Security team provided structured cabling, access control, and surveillance design for the 52,000 SF facility. It can hold 2,500 fans and was built to NCAA regulation in hopes of hosting the national championship, and potentially Olympic qualifying events. The three levels house a range of amenities for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. The first level will be home to ticket sales, locker rooms, team training facilities, officials' areas, restrooms, and mechanical rooms. The second level concourse will hold multiple concessions, and the third level will house the press box and coaches' offices.
