Cleary Zimmermann Engineers provided MEP design services for the a 12,200 square foot renovation and addition to the Leudecke Cyclotron Building. The addition included a second floor to accommodate faculty and graduate student offices and administrative functions, as well as a new elevator. As the first floor and basement levels were occupied and in operation during the construction phase, careful consideration was given to construction techniques and phasing. Mechanical systems included wall mounted fan coil units and VAV boxes. We provided all new power and lighting with occupancy sensors. We also provided fire protection and plumbing for the restrooms.
