The 71,000 square-foot LEED Silver® Recruit/Family Inprocessing and Information Center at Lackland Air Force Base acts as the “Gateway to the Air Force.” This general purpose office and auditorium building serves recruits and their families as an in-processing hub, training, and ceremonial facility. Facilities include an auditorium, briefing areas, conference rooms, waiting/processing areas, interview rooms, computer labs, and offices. This project was designed using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Cleary Zimmermann’s team provided Commissioning services for this facility. The goal of the commissioning process is to deliver a fully functional building with documented operational performance of mechanical and energy consuming systems. Our team commissioned this facility’s HVAC mechanical systems and controls, interior and exterior lighting and control system, and the domestic water heaters. Commissioning was performed in accordance with NEBB commissioning procedures and certified.
