Northside ISD’s Competition Gym, part of the Farris Athletic Complex, will be the District’s premier basketball and volleyball facility. Bond-funded and shared by all campuses, the arena contains 2,500 seats, home and visitor locker rooms, and a high tech scoreboard. More akin to a college arena than high school facility, the District Sports Gym will showcase the prowess of the District’s top athletes.
Our team provided full MEP services for the District Sports Gym, working efficiently to maintain an accelerated design timeline. We also designed different lighting options for the court, including 50, 100, and 150 foot candles (FC), the greatest of which surpasses general recommendations for Pro or Division 1 sports facilities and allows for high-definition filming.
