This project was the first phase of a larger scope renovation process, and involved the moving of mechanical air handling and ventilation equipment from the 10th floor to a newly constructed mechanical room on the roof in order to allow additional patient care beds to be placed on the 10th floor. A Chilled Water Hydronic Analysis was performed to determine why the chilled water supply to the 10th floor was inadequate and to provide a feasible solution. The change over process was performed while floors 6-9 were occupied. MEP renovations on the 10thfloor included new air distribution, lighting, and plumbing systems, while the 11th floor received full MEP systems to accommodate additional patients.
