An offshoot of the 2013 Bond Improvements, the Llano ISD District Wide Energy Efficiency project will add a building automation system to all of the District’s campuses. This system will allow for greater energy efficiency because it enables district maintenance personnel to remotely control HVAC, lighting, and security systems. They will be able to monitor systems online, set points, troubleshoot, and adapt levels as usage varies. For the brand new Llano Elementary School, the building automation system will control all of the HVAC and lighting. On older campuses, it will regulate only updated systems and additions. The system will use a separate server as not to impact the current technology infrastructure.
